Against the backdrop of a life-altering event, my journey embodies resilience, determination, and the unwavering spirit of overcoming adversity. As Bhavesh Parmar, a 41-year-old mechanical engineer from Dholka, Gujarat, my life took an unforeseen turn on 8th September 2020 due to a tragic road accident. The aftermath left me with significant injuries, including a spinal cord injury at the D11D12 L1 level, a fractured left hand humerus, pelvic surgery, and the ordeal of four fractured ribs coupled with lung infections.

Navigating through the challenges of hospitalization, I underwent treatment at Avdhoot Neurosurgical Hospital in Baroda, followed by a stint at Baps Hospital, Baroda, where I was discharged with a catheter. Undeterred by the setbacks, I embarked on a journey of recovery through extensive physiotherapy under the guidance of dedicated professionals.

However, the journey took yet another unexpected turn when I encountered a brain stroke on 23rd September 2021, revealing a low-grade glioma in my left brain. Undaunted, I underwent a successful operation to remove the tumor at Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad, displaying remarkable courage in the face of adversity.

From there on, my journey has been one of perseverance and tenacity, marked by a series of physiotherapy sessions and surgeries, including the recent bilateral inguinal hernia operation on 1st December 2023.

Through it all, I have remained steadfast in my resolve, supported by the unwavering dedication of healthcare professionals like Dr. Hemangiben Thakker, Dr Kajal Vora Dr Hardvi Kanbar Dr. Priyal Panchal, Dr Disha Patel And Dr. Masuma Memon.

My story is not just one of survival but of resilience, hope, and the indomitable human spirit, inspiring those around me to embrace challenges with courage and perseverance.
